Dr. Joanne B. Allen is a graduate of Duke University and Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest University. She completed her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Alabama at Birmingham Spine Rehabilitation Center.
Dr. Allen is a Fellow of American College of Sports Medicine and Fellow of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (FAAPM&R). Dr. Allen has a broad range of experience in musculoskeletal injuries and rehabilitation medicine, non-invasive pain management, spine and sports injuries, workers compensation injuries and EMG and nerve conduction studies. Dr. Allen is assistant team physician at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
